Hiking at Neda

The nymph Neda, a water deity, gave her name to the only river that has a female name in Greece and it, in its turn, benefited the nature around it in the most magnificent way. The hiking routes are many and with varying degree of difficulty.

A hiking path of mediocre difficulty starts from the limits of the walls of Ancient Phigalia and descends to the Gorge passing through winding paths, where lovely waterfalls appear suddenly in front of the hikers creating small pools with crystal waters which reflect the leafage of the surrounding platanus trees.

Stomio, the cave that Neda passes through, is a challenge for the more adventurous. The natural beauty of Neda promises to all who visit an exciting experience in nature.
