Vineyard of Santorini

The unique in the world vineyard of Santorini brings the secrets and the scents of antiquity to the present day, in a glass of wine.  From the 17th century BC the island provides excellent varieties of wine with top ranking the Vinsanto or else called “the wine of the sun”.

Many wineries receive visitors the summer period, while in the unique Wine Museum of the Koutsogiannopoulos family presents the interesting history of the wine through representations, tours in many languages, books and authentic items and tools from the winemaking process.

Apart of the wine, among the famous products of the island are the Santorini tomato, fava bean, caper, katsouni and the white eggplant which are available in many restaurants of the island and undoubtedly are worth trying.
