Chestnut Festival in Agiasos

The Chestnut Festival in Agiasos takes place in November. The celebration started in 2004 in order to enhance the agricultural production of the area, since it is filled with chestnut trees. The producers gather huge piles of chestnuts and the visitors have the opportunity to taste roasted and boiled chestnuts for free. They can also eat various local delicacies with this specific nut, for example brad with chestnuts, meatballs with chestnuts, pork with chestnuts and chestnut sweet preserve. Nature lovers will truly enjoy the autumn landscape and will see a lot of enchanting images.
