Passport & Visa
Greece is a member of the European Union and has signed the Schengen Agreement.
For the movement of citizens of the European Union within the European Union it is necessary to show a valid identity card and no passport is required.
More specifically, in order to visit Greece you need:
- Valid Identity Card, if you come from a member state of the Schengen Agreement.
- VISA, if you come from a country that hasn’t signed the Schengen Agreement
- Passport, if you come from one of the following countries and you wish to visit Greece and remain in here for a period less than three months within the following six months:
