Hiking at the Forest of Mirmitzala

At the area of Acheloos, near Vragiana and the monastery of the Transfiguration of Christ is the forest of Mirmitzala, which is considered one of the most beautiful in Greece. Its singular landscape consists of very tall fir trees, platanus trees, oaks and chestnuts, which combine with hard to find herbs and flowers, but also wild animals, like roe deer and wild boars.

It is worth walking in the forest starting in Vragiana and following the path until Argyri, in the south. The walk lasts approximately an hour and provides unique experiences and unforgettable images.
