Anakatosaria

This is a three-day celebration that takes place on the last weekend of the Carnival at the central square of Grevena. It is a revival of the custom that exists from the middle of the 19th century, and is still carried out today at the area. The main characteristic are the spectacular fires that they light at the centre of the city and the lamps at all its districts. All the people participate in the celebration, following the bands with the brass instruments at the roads of the city, eating and drinking until morning.
