Following the course of river Triton

With the tributary of river Alpheus, Triton, is related the birth of ancient Goddess Athena, who is also mentioned as “Tritogenia”. Triton springs from mount Minthi and shapes, near the Monatery of Sepetos, a small gorge with water falls which eventually flows into Alpheus.

The choices for picking a route and enjoying nature are two. The first route starts from the Monastery of Sepetos, heading east with a destination towards ancient Alifeira. The second route, which also starts from the Monastery, had a direction to the west. From the gorge of Triton, following the course of the river, leads the traveller to an enchanting landscape dominated by wild nature and the impressive water falls.
