The extremely interesting Folklore Museum was inaugurated in Acharavi of Corfu in 2008. It is located opposite of the Roman Baths. The aim of the Museum is to demonstrate the great folklore tradition of Corfu through the accumulation, preservation and the promotion of the special folklore material of the island.
The great collection of the Museum is exhibited into two halls.
Among the exhibits there are old photographs, books, coins from the period of the Ionian State, local costumes and furniture. The Museum also exhibits representations of a traditional olive press, a carpenter’s workshop, an ecclesiastic area and others.
