Hiking among the rocks: Bouharia and Nohtaria
At the area of Mikrovalto and Livadero, 40 kilometers south of Kozani, are the natural formations of rocks that have been created by the corrosion of the ground through the years and are known with the names “Bouharia” and “Nohtaria”.
The Boharia resemble chimneys, as is evident by their name (“bouhari” means chimney in the local dialect), while Nohtaria resemble tall pyramids. At this impressive landscape they have created a geopark, which allows the visitor to admire the rocks following the part. The route lasts for about two hours and ends at the church of Agia Paraskevi in Voggopetra.
