Leaving the city of Aegina and the historical Metropolitan church, we head towards the centre of the island where we meet the impressive church of Agios Nektarios, where pilgrims come from all over Greece. We should definitely visit Palaiochora, the Byzantine capital of Aegina, while at a small distance is the Monastery of Panagia Chrysoleontissa, the most important monastery of the island.
