Lake of Kremasta

The largest artificial lake of Greece was created in the decade of 1960, after the construction of the dam of Kremasta and the accumulation of waters of the rivers Acheloos, Agrafiotis, Tavropos and Trikeriotis. The landscape is enchanting, with turquoise waters, beautiful coastlines and small islands, while at the same time it is the refuge for aquatic birds and animals.

The lake is excellent for a ride with a boar, canoe-kayak, explorations and hiking. It its worth seeing the large modern bridge of Episkopi, which connects Evrytania with Aitolia-Acarnania, as well as the famous stone bridge of Manolis, of the 17th century, which has been covered by its waters.
