Virgin Mary, the mother of Christ and all men, is celebrated all over Greece.The special love that the people of Greece ce has for Virgin Mary is testified by the dozens of names that she is called, from the hundreds of pilgrimages from every corner of Greece, but also from the grandeur that her death (Dormition) is celebrated on the 15th of August. On that day, thousands of believers with their soul filled with hope go to the numerous pilgrimages where there is a procession of the miraculous icon of Virgin Mary, celebrating brilliantly the “summer Easter”.
