The Cinema Museum, unique of its kind, is located at the city that is identified with the most important film festival in Greece. It was founded in 1997, in 2010 it merged with the Cinema Festival, and today it is housed at one of the port buildings, next to the Photography Museum.
Its exhibition presents in a special way the history of cinema in Greece, from the first attempts in the beginning of the 20th century until the modern creations. The visitor has the opportunity to see rare cine cameras and projectors, but also to learn about the Greek films through posters, programs and advertising material.
