Unique of its kind in Greece is the Photography Museum, which is housed at the beautifully shaped area of Warehouse A in the port of Thessaloniki, next to the Cinema Museum. With its exhibits and its various activities it preserves and promotes the cultural heritage and the modern artistic creation in the field of photography.
Its collections cover the period from 1970 to the present day and include more than 2,000 works of important photographers from Greece and abroad. Apart from the permanent exhibition, the museum organized interesting thematic temporary exhibitions, tours, educational programmes and the international photography festival Photobiennale.
