The OTE Tower has dominated at the area of International Trade Fair of Thessaloniki since 1970 when it was constructed, and constitutes until the present day the landmark of the city. This original building, 78 meters high, with the particular aspect and balance, but also with the unique for its era rotating floor, is the creation of the architect Alexandros Anastasiadis.
Initially it served the telecommunication needs of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization and for several years it was its kiosk at the International Trade Fair. Today people can visit it and on its top there is a rotating café-restaurant, one of the most popular of the city, with a panoramic view to the surrounding area.
