At one of the most central locations of Athens, at the 5th floor of a building at Amalias Avenue, is one of the lesser known and unusual museums of the city, the Katakouzenos House.
The apartment that belonged to Angelos and Leto Katakouzenos has been shaped into a museum area, where one can see a characteristic Athenian house of the 20th century. In the period from 1930 and onwards the apartment was the centre of the intellectual and artistic life, since the couple had a friendly relationship with a lot of artists, poets, authors and scientists from Greece and abroad, which have left their mark in their field.
