The Vorres Museum is one of the most remarkable museums in the wider area of Athens, which demonstrates through its collections and its various activities Greek folk culture and contemporary Greek art.
It was founded in 1983 and occupies a great area in Paiania, which includes two parts, the museum of contemporary art and the folk art museum, a complex of traditional houses, yards and beautiful gardens, among them a stable and a wine press from the beginning of the 19th century. At the folk art museum ancient findings are exhibited, items of every day us, pottery, furniture and works of art that depict important events.
